Prayer in blue  

 In the fall of 2022, a visit was made to the Mallorca Island, where the soundscape of the island and surrounding areas was observed and recorded. Experience in observing and categorizing soundscapes played a major role as we adapted the methods to the conditions we found. A second goal was to create a musical work using the recordings in their original or processed form.  

The sounds were carefully selected and categorized with very specific compositional treatments to achieve a poetic result. In this work, the sound alternates between the six speakers of the cycle, creating new sound formations that challenge the established spatiality.  

 The sonic footprint of the island environment unpretentiously creates a musical effect that represents the prayer of the Muses for the Mediterranean, uniting many different cultures and preserving the collective memory of its sounds.
